With two events – Pukekohe High School in the morning and ACG Strathallan in the afternoon – the 2022 AKSS Sprint Champs were fun and fiercely competitive.
The long distance race at the National Championships was held on Canaan Downs (near Motueka) on Sunday 17 April. Well done to all those who attended and a special congratulations to those who achieved a top three placing. After three days of individual races there are some special performances worth highlighting. James McGuire won all three races (sprint, middle, long) and others who had top three places in all three events were Kelly McKinnon, Llew McGivern, Val and John Robinson. Trish Aspin did not compete in the sprint race but won both the middle and long distance races.
