CMOC is privileged to be able to run orienteering events and training days during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. In order to be able to deliver these events to our communities, we are required to follow public health regulations.
AOS9 will take place in Waiuku Forest on 12th December and will be run under Covid Restriction Rules; whilst current alert level restrictions do not permit the running of this event CMOC are planning in the hope of a change in alert levels from the start of December. If Covid restrictions are not eased the event will be cancelled. Please note that All entrants over the age of 12 must be double vaccinated – this requirement is undertaken on trust PLEASE DO NOT PUT OTHER ORIENTEERS AT RISK. From Auckland: travel South on SH1 to J461 (Drury off ramp), bear right on exit ramp, turn Right on SH22 towards Pukekohe
Just after Pukekohe Golf Club (on your right) turn right towards Glenbrook, stay on Glenbrook Road to Waiuku, turn left on to Queen Street, following signs towards Otaua
At end of long straight at T intersection, turn right then onto Hoods Landing Road, then onto Forestry Road, then onto Ghezzie Road
Steel Mill Mine site entrance is at end of Ghezzie Road and the entrance to the forest is to the left (forest entrance can be obscured until you are right up to it)
Follow forest road to event centre area
From Pukekohe:
Take Waiuku Road out of Pukekohe to Puni, at Puni School turn left down Aka Aka Road, Keep on this road until sharp RH bend (looks like a T-Junction) and turn right onto Otaua Road
Keep onto Factory Road, Then onto Hoods Landing Road, Then onto Forestry Road, Then onto Ghezzie Road

For event participant safety please follow the rules below under which it is intended to run the event. These rules are put in place for the safety of participants and event organisers:
People go directly to the start from their car
Please do not go to the finish area or congregate before start
People who have hired ident will pick them up on the way from the cars to the start.
