Our Academy Urban Rogaine on 27 March hosted over 60 participants in 28 teams (and some individuals) in a fun-filled three-hour race around Pukekohe.

Kurtis Shuker (Open) had the fastest overall time with 1200 points gained in 1:28:55. The team with the fastest overall time was Nikki Foulis and Andrew Peat of Team Peat – Return of the Peats (Open), with 1200 points gained in 1:49:52.

Of the Secondary School participants, Jake Walden and Cameron Motion scooped 1150 points in 2:06:39. Charlotte Wood and William Wood of Team Twiglets came second with 1080 points in 2:51:05. Emma Granich, James Karl, and Catherine Motion of Team ACCE came third with 1000 points collected in 2:58:08.

Of the Open participants, as mentioned, Kurtis Shuker came first, gaining 1200 points in 1:28:58. Coming in second were Nikki Foulis and Andrew Peat of Team Peat – Return of the Peats, who gained 1200 points in 1:49:52. And third were Martin Peat and Matt Peat of Team More Peats, with 1200 points in 1:50:03.

In the Veterans 50+ category, Justine Edwards and CMOC Co-President Jo Wood of Team Easier Said Than Run grabbed 1200 points in 2:50:37. In second place were Simon Hunt and Andy Mitchell of Team Titirangi, who claimed 1080 points in 2:57:03. In third place were Garry Dean and Monique Dean of Team The Slow Ones, with 930 points in 2:15:49.

All participants were thrilled to receive a healthy prize pack featuring locally grown potatoes and carrots, and hand sanitiser.
