Counties Manukau Orienteering coaching day for students Year 4 to 13 (plus parents)
- Date: Thursday 14th December 2023
- Time: 10.00 t0 2.00
- Venue: Waiuku Forest south
How to get there: Follow the orienteering signs form Otaua to the forest entrance gate by the mine site. Follow the signs into the forest to the assembly area. Allow about 10 minutes from the forest gate to the assembly area in the forest. Carpooling among your friends is a good idea.
This coaching day is to give students and their families confidence when orienteering in the forest and to improve their skills ready for 2024.
Families who have taken part in the Summer Series and school events are particularly welcome.
FREE! There is no cost to the students or their families. This is a CMOC day.
On arrival, the students will be divided into small groups based on experience and confidence. The coaches will work with the same group all day so as to help develop their individual skills. We would like parents to come with the students when they are being coached so that they can see what is happening. This is not compulsory.
