CLUB TRAINING DAY 2 FOR CLUB MEMBERS AND THOSE STUDENTS ATTENDING NATIONAL SEC SCHOOL CHAMPS

Time: 10.00 to 1.00 pm

Venue: Muirs Farm and adjacent Farm area Waiuku

Directions: Directions: Proceed to Waiuku entering the town along Kitchener Road. Turn right into King Street; following the sign pointing to Awhitu Peninsula. In about 5km turn left into Boundary Road, then look for the orienteering road signs.

Cost: Free

This coaching day is aimed at students who are looking to participate in the upcoming Secondary Schools National Championships. Families and club members are also welcome to participate to build their orienteering skills.

On arrival the participants will be divided into small groups based on their experience and confidence. The coaches will work with the same group all day to help develop individual skills. Parents are encouraged to come along so that they can see what is happening but it’s not compulsory.

Assemble:     0945 – 1000

Activity 1:     1000 – 1100            

Activity 2      1100 – 1200             

Depart.          1pm approx

You will need to bring:

·         your running clothes

·         running shoes

·         food and water

·         your compass if you have one. (We have compasses to borrow.)
