Event centre for the AKSS Individual Orienteering Champs on 22 May 2025.This year CMOC is proud to host the Auckland Secondary Schools Individual Orienteering Championships.

  • Date: Thursday 22 May
  • Map: Waiuku Forest North
  • Location: Wilson Road entrance, signposted from the centre of Waiuku.
  • Parking: Enter via the Wilson Road entrance and follow the orange and white orienteering signs to the parking area.
  • Terrain: Various degrees of cutty grass with some open run areas. Full body cover is recommended.
  • Map Scale: 1:7,500
  • Contour interval: 3.5m
  • Course distances: Distances range from 5km (Senior Boys) down to 2.5km (Junior Girls), and will be confirmed on the day.
  • First starts: 10.30am; start times will be allocated in two-minute intervals, and Start Lists will be sent to each school prior to the event.

  • Senior – Year 12 and 13
  • Intermediate – Year 10 and 11
  • Junior – Year 9
  • Year 7/8 students may also participate as part of a special Support Event

  • C3 – Year 10/11 – Intermediate Boys Championship (Orange)

  • C5 – Year 12/13 – Senior Boys Standard (Orange)
  • C6 – Year 12/13 – Senior Girls Standard (Orange)
  • C7 – Year 9 – Junior Boys Championship, Intermediate Boys Standard (Yellow)
  • C8 – Year 9 – Junior Girls Championship, Intermediate Girls Standard (Yellow)
  • C9 – Year 7/8 Boys Championship, Senior Boys Novice (Yellow)
  • C10 – Year 7/8 Girls Championship, Senior Girls Novice (Yellow)
  • C11 – Year 9 – Junior Boys Standard, Year 7/8 Boys Standard (White)
  • C12 – Year 9 – Junior Girls Standard, Year 7/8 Girls Standard (White)

Entry information:

Cost – Junior, Intermediate, Senior: $18 (ident hire included)
Cost – Year 7/8: $18 + $3 for ident hire

How to enter:

  • Secondary schools – entries are online via College Sport. Payment will be invoiced by College Sport to secondary schools for their entries.
  • Years 7/8 – entries via the AKSS Orienteering Entry Form 2025 for yr7 8, send to: [email protected], with payment via online banking to Counties Manukau Orienteering Club, ASB Bank, account number 12-3052-0311680-00 (Particulars: AKSS Champs, Reference: School name)
