As we head into Week 5 of the 2024 Eastern Zone Sprint Series, we’re starting to look ahead to the Sprint Series Champs, which take place on Sunday, 7 April (location TBC). The Top 10 students in each grade from across the region are invited to take part in this event, and these standings are determined via the accrual of points.
Points are awarded as follows:
- 10 points for a 1st placing
- 9 points for a 2nd placing
- 8 points for a 3rd placing
- … to 1 point for a 10th placing.
Students’ “top 4” results from across the Series are added to come up with their total result. (The lowest two results are dropped). The current Eastern Zone Sprint Series standings are available here: EZ Sprint League Tables Week 4, and will be updated each week until the end of the series.
Congratulations to the students who have made the Top 10! Please note, only people who have placed at least once in the Top 1 (that is, they have at least 1 point) are shown in the list. We’re very proud of all of our orienteers who are taking part in the Sprint Series.
