• Collect hired SPORTidents from Registration: 9am
• Maps released: 9.45am
• Mass start: 10am

Grades – Men/open and Women

1) Student, 2) Open, and 3) Veterans (50 and over)

Pre-registration is necessary. Enter at EnterO – Academy Urban Rogaine 2023

Participants can bring their own SPORTidents (enter the number when you register) or you will be able to hire a SPORTident for $3 (prepaid when you register).

Your SPORTident will record the sites/controls you visit. All hired SPORTidents will have previously been cleared and checked.

Map(s)

Each member of the team will receive a double-sided A3 map with the streets of Dannemora on one side and Barry Curtis Park on the other (a flip map), 20 min before start time, to plan their course. You can start on either map

Race format

You will shortly be able to pre-enter through the EnterO system at www.entero.co.nz; entries close 27 April 2023

Entry fee: $30 per adult and $10 for students

This event is primarily intended as a fun/community event. There will be a 3-hour time limit and as a guideline we expect top competitors to get all controls in less than this time

Controls will be worth 30 points, 40 points, or 50 points, and 10 points will be deducted for each 5 minutes (or part thereof) that the competitor arrives after the 3 hour limit

Prize giving

There will be certificates for top point scorers, spot prizes and a gift pack for every competitor

About the Academy

The Academy’s purpose is to support our juniors/youth travel to and compete in major events. This event is being run in order to raise funds for our Club’s Youth Academy. Up to 10% of the academy funds are available every year for distribution.
