Get ready for the Southern Zone Summer Series

Explore a number of parks and reserves in Pukekohe this October and November at our seven Southern Zone Summer Series events!

Enter on the day – start any time between 4.30pm and 6pm. Newcomers are most welcome – it’s a wonderful way for your family members, young and old, to get some fresh air and exercise! Grab a map and run or walk the courses.

  • 16 October: Colin Lawrie Fields
  • 23 October: Pukekohe Showgrounds
  • 30 October: Raceway Park
  • 6 November: O’Connor Drive Reserve
  • 13 November: Rosa Birch Reserve
  • 20 November: Rooseville Reserve (Lough Bourne Drive)
  • 27 November: Schlaepfer Park

  • Family $15
  • Group $50 (please notify us in advance if you are bringing a big group)

The weather was fine for our annual Academy Rogaine, this year held at Waiuku Forest South. Competitors were tasked with collecting as many as 1200 points in two hours and over 15km of terrain. Here are the results:

Individuals:

  • Student Girls – 920 points Anna Batcheler (1:53:44)
  • Student Boys – 1200 points Blake McKinnon (1:45:37)
  • Open Woman – 1200 points Lara Molloy (1:50:15)
  • Open Men – 1060 points Greg Bacchus (2:00:21)
  • Veteran Woman – 480 points Diana O’Brien (1:53:12)
  • Veteran Men – 1200 points Mark Lawson (1:57:14)
