Auckland Interclub Sprint Relay 2022 Results
/in NewsThe results of the Auckland Interclub Sprint Relay 2022 held today at Kristin School can be found here. Well done to those members who took part. Special congratulations to Alicia McGovern, Kurtis Shuker and Daniel Wood for coming second in the Open Grade and the team of Charlotte Wood, Oscar Vink and Blake McKinnon for coming second in the Junior Grade (missing out of first place by 6 seconds!).

Pukekohe Summer Series 2022
/in NewsAfternoon events will be held in Pukekohe each Wednesday from 12 October until 30 November. A fun way for all family members – young and old – to explore the parks of Pukekohe. Grab a map and run or walk the courses. Start any time between 4:30 pm and 6:00 pm.

Auckland Inter-Club Sprint Relay – 18 September
/in NewsThe North West Orienteering Club is hosting the Auckland Inter-Club Sprint Relay on 18 September at Kristin School, Albany
This is great event for mixing with members of our club and the other Auckland clubs as well as being a competitive event. We encourage members to take part. Interested members are asked to send an email to Jo Wood [email protected] by midnight on 11 September. Entry fees for this event are paid for by the club.
Format: • It is a three-per-team competition. All teams must be mixed gender with at least one female per team. • Points will be determined by placings in each grade; 10 points for 1st place, 9 points for 2nd place down to 1 point for 10th place. • Each club can enter as many teams per grade as they like; only the club’s highest point score in each grade will count. • Event is open to all club members, independent of ability.
Grades: • Young-uns (MW10-MW12) • Junior (MW14-MW18) • Open (MW20-MW40) • Masters (MW50 and over)
Course Lengths: • 3 sequential legs of approximately equal length in a sprint format with a winning time of 12-15 minutes per leg
On the Day • Registration from 9.00am • Briefing: 10.00am • First start 10.15am. Each grade will start at 5-minute intervals.
Please note North West will issue sport idents for all competitors. These will be available from registration on the day.
