AKSS Sprint Championships Results

With two events – Pukekohe High School in the morning and ACG Strathallan in the afternoon – the 2022 AKSS Sprint Champs were fun and fiercely competitive.

2022 National Championship club member performance – Long distance race results

The long distance race at the National Championships was held on Canaan Downs (near Motueka) on Sunday 17 April. Well done to all those who attended and a special congratulations to those who achieved a top three placing. After three days of individual races there are some special performances worth highlighting. James McGuire won all three races (sprint, middle, long) and others who had top three places in all three events were Kelly McKinnon, Llew McGivern, Val and John Robinson. Trish Aspin did not compete in the sprint race but won both the middle and long distance races.

AOS6 will take place at Waiuku South Forest on 24 April, and will be run under Covid Restriction Rules – Traffic Light Orange.

EVENT RULES:

For event participant safety please follow the rules below under which it is intended to run the event. These rules are put in place for the safety of participants and event organisers:

1.      People go directly to the start from their car

2.      Please do not go to the finish area or congregate before start

3.      People who have hired ident will pick them up on the way from the cars to the start.

4.      Start time 10:00am

5.      Once downloaded runners are asked to return to their cars to wait for others and limit the amount of congregating before and after the event.

6.      With the Covid19 Orange setting it is encouraged to still keep a distance (otherwise still have fun)
